This redundancy is vital, ensuring that even as the outer coast remains dynamic, areas further inland stay solid enough to protect the roads, power lines, and evacuation routes these communities rely on. Investing in Terrebonne Landbridge protects will also provide valuable protection to the Morganza to the Gulf Hurricane Protection System. While the system is designed to provide 100-year flood protection, its longevity and integrity can be enhanced by creating stronger marsh to the south.
